About Us
Headteacher’s welcome
Welcome from
Renata Joseph, Headteacher
A warm welcome to you, from me and the Saint Cecilia’s family.
I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Saint Cecilia’s Church of England School. We are an inclusive, co-educational and community-orientated academy, for pupils and students, aged 11-18 years.
Specialising in Music and Mathematics, Saint Cecilia’s is a well-respected and highly oversubscribed school. Our teaching is exceptional, our curriculum is challenging, standards of behaviour are high and our results are consistently strong.
Proudly Christian, we celebrate the uniqueness of every individual, made in the image of God. Our culture for learning and achievement is built on a deep commitment to Christian values and high expectations of all in our school community.
Our school mission statement, ‘Glorifying God through outstanding, enjoyable education’, defines both our purpose and ambition. Our guiding scripture, ‘I came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly’ ( John 10:10), is one I hope resonates with you all, whether you have a faith or not, because at its heart, our school is a place where every pupil and student is encouraged to realise their potential, thrive, and flourish.
By the time they leave us, our pupils have a strong sense of right and wrong, a commitment to going above and beyond, and a clear understanding of how they can make a meaningful contribution to society.
Saint Cecilia's offers an abundance of opportunity – both inside and outside the classroom - and it is out of that abundance, we glorify God, through outstanding and enjoyable education.
I look forward to meeting you, should you take one of the many opportunities to visit our school.
