Our latest GCSE and A level results makes us, once again, one of the highest performing non-selective state school in the borough.

Our Year 13s and Year 11s are celebrating another very successful year of A level and GCSE examinations results.

Overall, 26% of A level grades were A*- A, 56% were A* – B  and 83% were A* – C grades. Included in these results, there were some impressive individual performances with a high percentage of our leavers gaining places at a their first university choices, including Russell Group, to study a diverse range of courses.

There were strong A level performances in various subject departments. In Biology, 46% of grades were A* - A; in Further Maths, 43% of grades were A* - A and 40% of Geography grades were A* - A. In Government and Politics 81% of grades achieved were A*-B; in English Literature, 69% of grades were A* - B.

GCSE figures were also impressive: 87.4% of English grades were 9-4 (English 73.3% were 9-5) and 77% of Maths grades were 9-4. A number of subject departments enjoyed significant successes. The ‘Attainment 8’ measure this year is 51.3.

A large cohort of our Year 11 pupils are now continuing their education with us into the Sixth Form.
